Bear Loon Lodge is located in the heart of Dillon, directly across from Dillon Town Park and just steps from the shores of Dillon Reservoir. The neighborhood has a relaxed mountain-lake atmosphere with beautiful water and mountain views, walking and biking paths, parks, restaurants, and seasonal activities within easy reach. From the condo, guests can walk or bike along the paved recreation path toward the beach, Dillon Marina, Tiki Bar, and Dillon Amphitheater. During summer, the marina offers opportunities for paddleboarding, sailing, and pontoon-boat rentals. The Dillon Farmers Market is held nearby on select Fridays during its summer season. Downtown Dillon also offers local restaurants, a bowling alley, and community events. A movie theater, grocery stores, and additional shopping are only a short drive away. During the summer there is a Farmer's Market across the street by the town park every Friday from 9:00am-2:00pm In winter, Dillon provides a convenient home base for exploring Summit County’s ski areas. Keystone is the closest resort, with Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Loveland also accessible by car. The free Summit Stage bus system connects Dillon with Keystone, Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, and other Summit County destinations. Routes and schedules change seasonally, so guests should check the current Summit Stage schedule before traveling. The neighborhood combines the peaceful feel of a lakeside retreat with convenient access to skiing, boating, hiking, biking, dining, concerts, and everything Summit County has to offer.

Guest Access

Guests have private access to the entire condo at Unit 21, including both bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas, and the deck. You may also use the shared amenities in Chateau Claire: The common area downstairs in the middle of Building 2 Ping-pong table Sauna Two shared three-quarter bathrooms Paid washers and dryers Comparable common areas in the other Chateau Claire buildings Outdoor areas around the property and lake The main building code, 4863, works at the common entrance of all four buildings. Please follow posted HOA rules and observe quiet hours while using shared areas. Camping chairs stored in the condo may be used on the deck or outside while enjoying the lake view. Please return them to the condo clean and dry after use. During winter, guests may use the HOA-provided fireplace wood located on the north side of Building 2. The following areas are off limits: Locked owner cabinets, closets, or storage areas Utility, mechanical, maintenance, and staff-only areas Other privately owned condos, decks, and patios Any area marked “Private,” “Owners Only,” or otherwise restricted by the HOA Please do not attempt to open locked storage spaces or enter another resident’s private area.

Good to know

Guests have private access to the entire 784-square-foot condo, including two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, living room, and private deck. The living-room sofa opens into a queen bed. Sleeper-sofa linens, blankets, and eye masks are stored in the closet. Entertainment includes an Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Nintendo Wii, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests use their own streaming accounts and should sign out before checkout. The condo has a wood-burning fireplace. During winter, the HOA normally provides firewood on the north side of Building 2. There is no air conditioning. Open the dining-area and bedroom windows during cooler evening hours to create a cross-breeze. The living-room ceiling fan operates when the light is switched off. The shared lower-level common area in Building 2 includes a sauna, ping-pong table, two three-quarter bathrooms, and paid app-operated washers and dryers. Up to two vehicles may park on the property. Each vehicle must display one of the condo’s parking passes.

Other Details to Note

Please review these details before booking: The condo is Unit 21 in Building 2 at Chateau Claire. Standard check-in is 4:00 p.m., and checkout is 11:00 a.m. Entry is self-service using electronic keypad locks and a unique reservation code. The exterior deck stairs are steep and can become snowy or icy. Please use the handrail and supervise children. There is no air conditioning. Windows create a cross breeze (that is standard in mountain towns) The thermostat must remain at or above 60°F. Laundry facilities are shared and require payment through the app displayed on the machines. Recycling is not available onsite. The hot-water nozzle to the right of the kitchen sink dispenses near-boiling water and can cause injury if not using with caution. The fireplace flue must be fully opened before starting a fire. Never leave a fire unattended. No pets, smoking, vaping, marijuana, parties, events, or unregistered overnight guests are allowed. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. Both parking passes must be returned to the kitchen counter. A $200 replacement charge applies to each missing pass. Dillon is above 9,000 feet. Guests unfamiliar with high altitude should stay hydrated and take time to acclimate. Shared community amenities may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or circumstances outside the host’s control.

Bear Loon Lodge is in a walkable location near Dillon Town Park and Dillon Reservoir. Guests can easily walk to the lakefront recreation path, beach, marina, Tiki Bar, amphitheater, parks, farmers market, and several nearby restaurants and attractions. The paved Summit County recreation path is great for walking and biking. From the condo, you can follow it toward Dillon Marina and the amphitheater or continue around the reservoir toward nearby communities. Summit Stage provides free public bus service throughout Summit County. Depending on the current route and season, guests can travel between Dillon, Keystone, Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and other destinations. The Silverthorne–Dillon–Keystone route serves the Dillon area. Check the official Summit Stage website or live-transit app before leaving, as routes and schedules change seasonally. A vehicle is helpful for visiting multiple ski areas, trailheads, grocery stores, and attractions outside central Dillon. The property allows up to two vehicles, and each vehicle must display one of the condo’s parking passes. During winter, allow extra travel time and check current road conditions before driving. Snow tires or a properly equipped all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle are strongly recommended. Colorado traction and chain laws may be active during storms. Rideshare and taxi availability can be limited, especially early in the morning, late at night, and during peak ski periods. Arrange airport transportation and time-sensitive rides in advance whenever possible.
